`shocked
oh gosh.went for dinner with mum and then we saw this family
two daughters, 1 toddler boy with TWO maids. the entire family squeezed on one table beside mine. then when a bigger table was cleared, they moved, leaving the maids to bring the toddler.
food was served and then the family started eating w/o inviting them to join them or whatsoever. in fact, the entire time, all i could see was just the two maids feeding/entertaining the boy!poor maids. i dont think the maids could even eat. i was so shocked at the way the husband and wife treated their maids. even the mother didnt even care about the boy and talking about chinese educated family(i infer from that becos he was reading wan bao), i thought sons are more important and thus personal treatment from the mother herself and not the maids? hms... *ponders*
mum and i were saying we never did treat any of our maids like that. my family always treat our maids with respect and dignity. sighs. i really pity those maids.
when will singaporeans ever learn to treat maids with some respect?!! hai!! guess it will never happen.
